Thoroughly clean the glass surface using 90% isopropyl alcohol or our Smart Glass Spray. Remove all dust, stickers, and residue with a lint-free cloth and plastic razor. The glass must be completely dry before applying the AI Smart Glass.
Before installing, connect AI Smart Glass to power and test its switchable function. Ensure it turns from clear to frosted when powered on and off to confirm it’s working correctly.
Align the AI Smart Glass on the glass, leaving a small 2–3mm gap around the edges. Slowly peel back the adhesive backing and press AI Smart Glass onto the glass in sections, smoothing out bubbles as you go using a felt-edge card.
Once applied, seal the edges with the provided sealant. Carefully connect the wiring according to the instructions, avoiding contact with metal. AI Smart Glass is now ready for power and smart control setup.
AI Smart Glass operates on low-voltage power using a dedicated Power Control Unit. You can control it via a wall switch, remote control, mobile app, or integrate it with your smart home system. Switching from transparent to frosted is instant and seamless.
For best results, install the AI Smart Glass in a clean, well-lit, and dust-free environment. Handle the film gently at all times—never fold or crease it. Large panels may require two or three people to ensure even placement. Note that AI Smart Glass is intended for indoor use only and should not be installed on curved or outdoor surfaces.
